Diagnosis
In December 2022, our son James was diagnosed with leukemia. It was a moment that changed everything — but it was also the beginning of an incredible journey of strength, resilience, and hope.
2023
Foundation Inspiration
In November 2023, James’ wish was granted by Make-A-Wish New Jersey, and he spent two unforgettable days with the New York Giants. It was pure magic for our entire family — a reminder of the strength, joy, and hope that can come from community generosity. Little did we know then, this experience would plant the seed for something bigger on the horizon.
2024
Giving Back
In 2024, we founded The James Krystalla Foundation, Inc. to honor James’ journey and to help other families facing similar battles. Our mission is to support organizations dedicated to the prevention, treatment, and cure of childhood illnesses, diseases, and cancers, while also providing resources that bring comfort to children and families in their toughest moments.
Throughout his treatment at Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone, James received world-class care from doctors, nurses, and specialists who became part of our extended family. Their compassion inspired us to take action.
Our first annual James Krystalla Foundation Golf Outing brought together family, friends, and supporters for a day filled with community spirit and purpose. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors and attendees, we raised over $500,000 in our inaugural year — granting $350,000 to Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone. What began as a shared love of golf became a powerful tradition of hope and impact.
